China, U.S. to Ease Limits on One Another’s Journalists

WASHINGTON—The U.S. and China are easing restrictions on one another’s journalists, more than a year after Beijing ejected some U.S. reporters and the State Department implemented restrictions on China’s state-owned media outlets.

China has committed to issuing visas for U.S. reporters whom it deems eligible, a State Department spokeswoman said Wednesday. Chinese officials used similar language but didn’t say how many American journalists would be allowed in Beijing nor under what conditions.
