Ryanair launches first buy one get one free sale

Ryanair has introduced its initially “invest in one, get one no cost” sale in a bid to strengthen flagging passenger figures.

Prospects who e book a flight ahead of midnight on Thursday for journey up to December 14 on 1,600 routes will get a next ticket at no more charge.

The move follows the airline’s final decision to further minimize operations thanks to coronavirus journey constraints.

Its capacity in October will be 40pc of 2019 levels, in comparison with the 50pc it beforehand introduced.

Ryanair chief govt Michael O’Leary stated desire for foreseeable future bookings was awful.

“Into November and December our forward bookings are managing at all around 10pc – that’s about a quarter of wherever they would typically be at this time of the calendar year,” he advised Sky Information.

“We won’t be able to rule out work losses but in Ryanair we’re undoubtedly desperately operating with our people to reduce them.”
