Of the thirteen.75 lakh kg presented for this week’s auctions, as substantially as 12.98 lakh kg belongs to CTC wide range with only seventy seven,000 kg orthodox wide range. The proportion of orthodox teas proceeds to be small in both equally leaf and dust grades. In the leaf tea counter, only fifty one,000 kg belongs to orthodox though nine.28 lakh kg, CTC. The Damaged Pekoe Leaf grade from the purchased-leaf manufacturing unit, Crosshill Tea Factory, auctioned by World wide Tea Brokers (GTB) topped the overall auction last 7 days when TRP Tea and Commodities purchased it for ₹286 a kg. Crosshill’s two other Leaf tea grades, auctioned by GTB, adopted at ₹271 and ₹270. These 3 grades fetched the maximum price between all teas – orthodox or CTC – from any manufacturing unit corporate or purchased leaf.
Quotations with the brokers indicated ₹110-116 a kg for plain Leaf grades and ₹118-124 for the most effective grades. For plain Dust grades, they ranged ₹147-one hundred eighty and for the most effective grades, ₹155-208.
